Two pronged approach

Our training program is broken up into two component parts which allows clients to choose the best path toward their personal goals. We offer Personal Training sessions, which can be done 1 on 1 or in a group setting as well as Online Coaching/Accountability services. Clients can choose whichever program works for their lifestyle or choose both for maximum effectiveness.

Personal training

Personal Training Sessions Typically range from 1 hour to 90 minutes and are based on each individual client’s fitness goals. Whether your goals are sport specific, fat loss, building lean muscle, increased mobility, increased flexibility, strength or general cardiovascular health, we can develop a program and guide you through the process step by step.

What do you like to do?

What separates us from a lot of other trainers is our flexibility in delivering a fitness program that you will actually enjoy. Let’s face it, this is why most home gym equipment ends up being a clothes rack, rather than a part of your every day routine. If you don’t enjoy cycling, no amount of hyping yourself up is going to get you on that Peloton Bike consistently. So what will you enjoy? Is lifting in a traditional gym your thing? Or getting outside? Body Weight training? Let’s work together to find a routine that not only gets results, but is also something you look forward to!

Never feel lost

Our programs are not only geared to the client specifically, but are also constantly reassessed and adjusted as we discover what works and doesn’t work for your body. Feel comfortable in knowing that if you hit a plateau, you’re not alone in figuring out how to push through. We’ve done the book work and gained the experience to leave no stone unturned in getting the most out of every session and beyond.

No gimmicks

If you’re looking for the weekly one hour magic cure to get fit and stay healthy so you can spend the rest of the week sitting on the couch eating Ice Cream coated in Cheetos dust, you’ve come to the wrong place. The truth is, there’s only one secret to success: Consistency! The good news is that our sessions are not only used for you to get a great workout, but also educate you on how to achieve results on your own so that you no longer need us. Seems like a bad business model, but helping you earn your own fitness independence is the goal of every good trainer.

Online coaching and accountability

Not ready for in person training sessions? Or just prefer to work out on your own? No worries. Our feelings aren’t hurt. For those interested in a less hands on approach, our online coaching and accountability services could offer what you’re looking for.

We offer custom made workout programs much like we offer for our personal training sessions, but can be done on your own. And just because we aren’t there for every push, pull or hinge, doesn’t mean you won’t have the tools and techniques to reach your goals.

Or maybe you just need us to hold your feet to the fire and make sure you’re doing the work, and using the strategies we’ve given you to make positive steps every day. However much guidance you want is up to you. We offer daily, weekly and monthly check ins that are designed to keep you motivated as well as helping to track your progress and make adjustments to find out what works best for you.

Nutrition is not a dirty word

In addition to providing information and techniques to get you moving, what you put in your body is equally if not more important. Our coaching services help by offering strategies and guidance when it comes to making the right food choices. Are you eating too much? Are you eating enough? Where are your hidden calories coming from? Are you staying hydrated? How can you curb the dreaded cravings? We will help you navigate the never ending stream of misinformation available online and let you avoid the pitfalls that sabotage your best efforts.

We don’t care what you call your diet

One thing you can count on, is that we will never push a specific diet as the answer to all your problems. Our goal is to help you gain a healthy relationship with what you put in your body, not to dictate what you should and should not eat. We provide the information which allows you to make choices for yourself. Whether you’ve gone Keto, Vegan, carnivore, South Beach or whatever, our job is to offer advice that fits into your lifestyle. We don’t promote elimination diets and don’t hate carbs. We love carbs. Carbs are energy. Besides, if you love bread and potatoes, how long do you really think you’ll last on Atkins?

What makes you happy?

Setting goals is one of the most important parts of starting any fitness plan. Which is why we start every consultation by asking What makes you happy? Because living a healthy lifestyle shouldn’t get in the way of what makes you happy, it should enable you to do those things year after year. For too many, old age means losing the ability to do things you really enjoy. But it doesn’t have to be like that. Being active allows us to keep our strength and mobility much longer than those who stay glued to the easy chair. When they say “use it or lose it,” they’re’ not kidding. Being in great shape can allow you to keep carving up the mountains and trail running well into your retirement. Or maybe it’s as simple as being able to get down on the floor to play with your kids/grandkids. Whatever your goals, we’re here to help you find them and realize them.

TYPES OF GOALS

Something to think about: We divide the goals for our clients into three categories.

Outcome goals: These are realistic goals based on what you hope to achieve. You want to lose 10lbs? Or hit 225 on the bench press? These are goals that can be measured. By keeping them realistic but challenging clients can see their progress and not become frustrated with the lack of results.

Behavioral goals: These are realistic goals related to your routine/habits that will help you achieve your outcome goal. An example might be starting every day with a 20 minute walk, or only having a Dr. Pepper on the weekends rather than every day. These small behavior changes can make those outcome goals become a lot easier. And for a lot of us, it’s surprising how small some of these changes need to be to get amazing results.

Longshot goals: These are for fun and meant to be something that you keep in the back of your mind because you probably will never attain them. But wouldn’t it be cool if you did? What ridiculous thing would you accomplish if you were suddenly in the best shape of your life? Mine was being able to dunk a basketball in my 40s. I’m not there yet, but maybe some day. The reason we do this, is because when you remove what is realistic, sometimes the unrealistic is possible.
